Team wins 4 Titles at the WAKO U.S. Open Championships

The MiKiDo Team wins four titles at the WAKO U.S. Open Championships

The MiKiDo Team traveled to Virginia Beach to compete in the WAKO U.S. Open Classic on September 15-17, 2006. The team, coached by Master Mike Hess, had eight wins and won four titles.

Jonathan Schweinefuss of Alexandria, Va. got the show started by winning his preliminary bout by TKO. He later went on to win his title bout by unanimous decision in the 8-9 yr. Old, 64 lbs. division.

Charles Myers of Alexandria, Va., 14 yr. old - 153 lbs. won his U.S. title by stopping both of his opponents in the first round by KO’s.

Kyle Staten from Franconia, Va. won his title in 157 lbs. division by winning his first bout by TKO and his title bout by unanimous decision.

Coach Hess, Brent Hess & J.P. Perlemutter coached Dallas Crowe from Spartanburg, S.C. to victory, winning his third title.

The MiKiDo Team ended their season at the WAKO Classic after competing this summer in the WKA, IKF & USKBA events.

Coach Hess increases his title count to 61 National & International Titles, a number that will be hard to match as he has become one of the most successful coaches in the Amateur arena.
